Senior Analyst, Revenue Cycle Operations

Remote - Cooper City, FL

Position Summary

The Business Analyst, Revenue Cycle Operations supports the Operations Department by analyzing performance data, identifying process improvement opportunities, auditing and research. This role partners closely with Operations leadership, Client Engagement, BI, and Performance to improve efficiency, scalability, and service quality across revenue cycle workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze operational KPIs including productivity, turnaround time, denial trends, quality scores, and client SLAs
  • Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities using data-driven analysis
  • Research client escalations
  • Work with the BI team to correct data issues in daily, weekly, monthly reporting
  • Assist with producing presentations and research changes to metrics
  • Perform invoice audits and work with BI team to finalize

Process Improvement

  • Assist with documenting work-flow changes
  • Recommend and support implementation of process improvements and best practices
  • Assist with standardization of operational procedures across teams and clients

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partners with Operations, BI, Client Engagement, Performance, and Finance
  • Assist Operations leadership with ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives

Compliance & Quality Support

  • Support audits, quality initiatives, and corrective action planning as needed

 

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, business analysis, or operational analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools)
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience with RCM systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or vendor-based platforms)
  • Familiarity with payer rules, denials management, and revenue cycle workflows
  • Experience supporting process improvement or automation initiatives
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory requirements
