As a Senior Associate Consultant in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, you will play a pivotal role in providing advanced support to our team's efforts to optimize the financial health of healthcare organizations. This position is a blend of healthcare expertise, revenue cycle management proficiency, and management consulting skills. Sr Associates begin to be accountable for project management and development of more junior team members. You will collaborate closely with senior consultants, helping lead data analysis, develop strategies, and guide healthcare providers toward more efficient revenue cycle operations.
- Strategic Analysis: Take a lead role in conducting strategic analysis of the revenue cycle, utilizing data analytics, benchmarking, and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Process Optimization: Lead process improvement initiatives, streamlining operations, reducing inefficiencies, and maximizing revenue capture. Mentor junior team members in this area.
- Revenue Enhancement Strategies: Develop and execute revenue optimization strategies, including identifying new revenue streams and implementing best practices.
- Billing Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure billing and coding practices adhere to strict compliance regulations and provide guidance to the team in mitigating risks associated with regulatory non-compliance.
- Claims Management Excellence: Oversee claims management, monitoring claims submission, denials, appeals, and adjudication. Develop and implement advanced strategies to minimize denials and optimize reimbursement.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage healthcare revenue cycle management software and data analytics tools to provide advanced solutions for clients and mentor junior team members in tool proficiency.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and implement comprehensive KPIs and performance metrics to track revenue cycle health. Prepare and present reports with strategic recommendations.
- Client Collaboration: Build strong client relationships, providing advanced consultative support, recommendations, and guidance to ensure the success of their revenue cycle operations.
- Champion Change: Establish rapport through interactions with client staff to support the change management process by facilitating process improvements, training, and communication strategies.
- Mentorship: Become accountable for guiding the development of consulting acumen and healthcare revenue cycle expertise in junior consultants.
- Promote our Brand: Build a professional network, taking opportunities to share marketing content on platforms such as LinkedIn to build positive brand awareness.
- Stay Informed: Stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in healthcare revenue cycle management, sharing helpful sources of industry information with others.
- Maintain Professionalism: Set an example for using situational discernment to follow best practice business acumen in communication, action, and appearance.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, while instilling adherence through mentorship of junior consultants.
- Professional Development: Commit to continuous self-improvement, proactively requesting constructive input on a regular basis, holding others accountable to do the same and participating in the process as appropriate.

- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees (MBA, MHA, etc.) are a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience (2-3 years) in management consulting, preferably in healthcare or revenue cycle management, and ability to mentor junior team members.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, including advanced analytics tools.
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify improvement opportunities and use sound judgement in developing and executing creative solutions.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership qualities and the ability to lead and mentor change initiatives.
