Senior Business Analyst - Healthcare Revenue Cycle

Remote - Cooper City, FL

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with deep healthcare revenue cycle expertise to lead analysis, process improvement, onboarding, and solution design as part of our business intelligence team. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, clients, and leadership to drive operational efficiency and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

  • Support internal project leadership with analytics and reports for clients and daily operations.
  • Drive new clients onboarding success by taking ownership of collecting detailed business requirements and ensuring all dependencies are clearly defined.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks, gaps, or conflicts across stakeholder groups to ensure a smooth onboarding and implementation process.
  • Analyze, prepare, and validate client-provided files, documentation, and data needed for system setup and configuration.
  • Document detailed business, functional, and technical requirements using industry-standard methods (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria).
  • Translate complex operational challenges into actionable solution designs that align with revenue cycle best practices.

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate end-to-end revenue cycle workflows and identify opportunities to enhance accuracy, reduce denials, and optimize reimbursement.
  • Build current-state and future-state workflow diagrams.
  • Recommend automation, system enhancements, and policy changes to improve throughput and reduce manual effort.

Technology & EHR Integration

  • Collaborate with IT, data engineers, and EHR/application teams to design and validate system changes.
  • Create and execute test plans, coordinate UAT, and validate production-ready solutions.

Data & Reporting

  • Compile and analyze data quality profiles for clients and make recommendations to improve project performance through raising data quality.
  • Partner with analytics teams to define reporting requirements and ensure KPIs are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Prepare operational reports and summaries required for internal leadership, client discussions, and project updates.
  • Present findings to leadership with clear recommendations.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operational and client leadership.
  • Support internal project leadership by preparing client-facing presentations, status updates, and documentation.
  • Manage and support day-to-day operational reporting needs to ensure stakeholders have timely visibility into project and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate communication across clinical, financial, technical, and client-facing teams.
  • Manage medium-to-large projects and ensure timely delivery of milestones.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors degree in business, healthcare, or related fields. Equivalent experience or certification accepted.
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on healthcare revenue cycle experience.
  • Must have previous experience working with senior stakeholders in an organization.
  • Strong understanding of payer rules, reimbursement models, authorization requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Working knowledge of data from common EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  • Knowledge of SQL or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working in a scaled agile environment.
